Single storey Extension, internal Renovations, External Hard Landscaping at Ballybrown National School, Ballybrown, Co. Limerick.Outgoing project lead Sheila Mulcair said, “I’m delighted that the new Outpatients Department at Westpoint has opened on schedule with our projected opening date of Quarter 1, 2021.”
Services Provided
Main Contractor & Project Supervisor Construction Stage work included excavation, foundations and sub structure; finished floors; block work to roof; natural slate finish on the roof; with an old ridge tile to match the existing school that was purchased in England.; external walls were of finish stone to match existing school and existing church; new windows and doors; electrical & plumbing; internal finishes including painting, marmoleum flooring, tiling, bathroom ware, kitchen & storage shelving, entry access panel etc. All external works including sewers, removal of water main and relocating; footpaths; tarmacadam finishes; wheel chair accessible ramps.
This project was carried out during school term- we were extremely vigilant of the children & staff on site. This extension was in the middle of a playground- so the Health & Safety aspect of the project was extremely high. All Site Safety was set up before the project was started including security fences & signs; inductions & tool box talks were carried out; all employees & sub-contractors produced safe passes and all tickets before entering site. All PPE gear was worn at all times.
